My goal is for my clients is to leave our sessions with new skills, tools and a better understanding of their brain.
Although my space looks more kiddo friendly, half my caseload are typically adults.
I only use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT and Trauma Focused practices) to lead my clients towards their personal goals. DBT teaches mindfulness and wise minded decision making, improving interactions with the world around us. There are seperate versions of DBT for Adolescents and adults. Art Therapy is available but never forced.
I am also a graduate of Carlisle High School 2002.
I want to help all my clients know how to validate what they are experiencing in a world that can make healing difficult.
I use a blend of psycho-education and skill building with art ( optional) to help heal the brain's response to trauma stimuli.
I appreciate the difficulty of allowing someone new and unknown into your life. Art can help reduce the discomfort of difficult conversations. If Art isn't speaking to you, my office bunnies, Bert and Momo, are here to help find joy when there is pain.
