Working with children adolescents and young adults, I strive to empower my clients to create lasting bonds and create solutions to improve everyday living in their homes and school environments. I have worked extensively in the foster care system with biological and foster parents, addressing behavioral issues, family of origin issues and family bonding/attachment. I enjoy both in school and in office sessions and working with the entire family to meet the individual needs.
I have studied child and adolescent therapy as well as integrating play therapy into my practice. I understand that each client processes and copes differently and look to find ways to connect and meet needs on a level appropriate to the individual.
In my office, I utilize a variety of modalities including sand tray therapy and play therapy. I will refer for psychological testing and med management to assist in meeting clients needs.
