Tiffany enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has a particular interest in addressing trauma and attachment issues across the lifespan. Due to her vast experience in special education, she has a passion in serving individuals with intellectual disabilities. She holds a license as a special educator in Virginia. Additional training has been secured in the areas of: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Theraplay, trauma, suicide prevention, and Aaron Beck’s Institute of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in working with depression and anxiety.
She also holds certifications in TF-CBT and in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). The goal of EMDR therapy is to completely process the traumatic experiences that are causing problems and to include new ones needed for full health. EMDR will look different for every client based on personal experiences and needs.
In interactions with her clients, Tiffany uses eclectic therapy philosophies and principles to create the ideal treatment approach for client success.
