At Whole Self Counseling, I believe therapy is not about fixing what is broken, but about creating space for what is true. Many of us learn to silence parts of ourselves to stay connected, whether in our families, relationships, or communities. But over time, those compromises take a toll. My role is to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been hidden, exiled, or overwhelmed, so you can move toward a life that feels more honest, connected, and whole.

I work with individuals and couples navigating grief, trauma, identity, caregiving, and especially ambiguous loss, which is when someone is physically present but emotionally distant, or physically absent but still deeply felt. Together, we’ll slow down, listen inward, and create space for what’s true beneath the pain.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in nonprofit work focused on systemic change. As an adoptive parent to a child with a disability, I understand how systems shape our inner world. In therapy, I offer warmth, curiosity, and deep attunement as we move at your pace, honoring both your pain and your hope while listening for the clarity within.

Ambiguous loss is the grief that comes without closure, when someone is physically present but psychologically absent (like with addiction or dementia), or physically absent but psychologically present (like after death, estrangement, or adoption).
