Hi! I am Tiama Rucker, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I approach each therapy session with sensitivity, compassion, and empathy while creating a safe space for change and growth. My approach to therapy is client centered because I focus on the unique and specific needs of the individual. Because, every situation is different, I work with the individual to set goals and find which tools and approaches will best help them.
My approach and style resonate with people of all age groups and backgrounds. I am most experienced in treating symptoms that arise from stress and life transitional issues. These often manifest as anxiety, depression, struggles with social connection.
Our first session together will focus on talking about how you’ve been feeling recently. I will ask questions to better understand why you may be feeling that way. We will focus on rapport and connection building so that we are comfortable with one another. All this will allow me to get a sense of how we should move forward.
