I am passionate about helping others navigate through the many challenges and transitions we face throughout our life journey and walking through them together: relationship issues, career/work stressors, medical needs, Serious Mental Illness, physical limitations/loss of functioning, body image, emotional eating, low self esteem, spiritual needs, and lack of self identity/life purpose. I have acquired a diverse array of experiences and expertise throughout my years as a mental health provider in DC, and I enjoy drawing from these vast experiences to meet the individual needs of each individual client.
My approach emphasizes interventions based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This includes processing life's many challenges and identifying negative thought patterns while also developing new insight and new perspectives. I incorporate problem solving strategies, identifying available options with clients while empowering clients to choose their own paths.
Reaching out for help, practicing self-reflection and learning to trust others can be hard. I believe in providing a safe space to freely share the thoughts and feelings that have been holding you back. I maintain transparency, and I intentionally seek feedback while making adjustments needed to create the most positive experience possible.
