Dr. Acuna is a licensed clinical psychologist who has helped many clients overcome various seemingly insurmountable challenges to help them move towards the life they envisioned for themselves. For many people challenges may come about in the midst of transition (graduation, career shift, relocation, grief) and support is much needed. Dr Acuna can help you maneuver through these changes.
Aside from private practice, Dr. Acuna has worked with clients in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs and mental health centers. She has spent the last three years primarily focused on helping emerging adults, including "failure to launch adults," transition from high school to college and beyond.
Dr. Acuna's approach is integrative and culturally sensitive to both the immediate and long term needs of the client. She has extensive experience working with a neurodiverse population and is a certified trauma clinician. Dr. Acuna has permit to practice in 44 states which enables her to be a constant source of support for people who travel frequently.
