As a licensed psychologist, I have had extensive experience assisting different types of people confronting numerous issues. I understand the process of personal growth and know that people possess a remarkable ability to change. Since a sound therapeutic relationship is essential for success, clients must experience safety and trust. Therefore, I use an integrative approach which is engaged, collaborative and individualizes treatment for each client. Clients are supported and encouraged to take an active role in the therapeutic process, build upon their strengths, establish new learnings and implement genuine changes in their lives.
I work with couples seeking to improve their relationships and with individuals experiencing anxiety and depressive issues of all types. I assist clients managing life's transitions such as role changes, relationship changes, grief/loss, as well as clients wanting to change careers or to establish an initial focus.
I served as Chair and Professor, Department of Counseling & Psychological Services, West Chester University, clinically supervised numerous doctoral level psychological interns, and consulted/consult with universities and businesses in Pennsylvania. Currently, I teach at the University of Pennsylvania - graduate program , Division of Applied Psychology and Human Development.
