I believe that everyone has the potential to heal and create satisfying lives for themselves. You're probably interested in starting therapy because you want to make changes in your life and in how you feel, and I consider it my job to facilitate the changes you’re looking for. My clients describe me as warm, accepting, and honest. I believe that the quality of the relationship between us will make a big difference the success of your therapy and want to embody respect and caring.
I try to be very practical in therapy and use approaches that have been shown through research to be effective. I take an active role in sessions, making suggestions or recommendations, but our work will be guided by your own goals and values. I strive to use an anti-racist, anti-oppression framework to support achieving your goals.
I have experience working with a variety of problems, from anxiety and depression to relationship, sexuality, and career problems. I welcome working with people who have been trying to make changes but don’t feel they have been successful so far. Take a look at my website or give me a call for a short free consultation, let’s talk about working together.
