Thank you for your interest, but I am NOT currently accepting new clients and I have a FULL waitlist- I have a preference for utilizing many of the counseling techniques within cognitive behavioral therapy because I believe that although individuals will undoubtedly experience hardship and difficulty within their lives, I feel that problems with emotions and behaviors are many times a result of how one thinks and feels about a situation. Because I believe that counseling is not a “one-size-fits-all” process, I will always maintain awareness of the uniqueness of a client’s situation and adapt my method to suit his or her needs.
I take great pride in consistently maintaining an understanding of the key roles that a client’s culture, identity, ethnicity, race, gender, and other aspects of diversity play in the counseling process.
As a person-centered counselor, I am non-judgmental in my approach and I acknowledge the client’s experience in a respectful and empathetic manner in order to foster self-discovery.
