I provide couple counseling both in person and online. The majority of my clients are ready to continue to grow, both as individuals and in their relationships, but are finding that old patterns might be getting in the way. My goal as a clinician is to balance emotional validation and safety with action-oriented approaches.
While working with couples, I honor the unique context of each partner as well as the developmental stage of the relationship. This includes exploring attachment patterns, relational dynamics, individuals' traits, and trauma histories. I endorse a family systems model of differentiation, which is helpful for those who struggle with conflict avoidance.
I am also a sex therapy provider. I operate from a sex-positive stance and support clients in incorporating the topic of sex into their couple's work. This may include building intimacy, exploring sexuality, processing sexual trauma, managing desire discrepancy, or coping with problematic sexual behavior (sometimes described as sex addiction).
