Anxiety, depression, and addiction are not merely pathology, but are best understood as part of a larger system that can be brought into awareness. These symptoms may also be fundamentally connected to our greatest gifts and uniqueness - one's sensitivity, awareness, and drive towards growth - often misplaced or misunderstood.
My work involves accompanying you in this worthy self exploration, challenging counterproductive assumptions and patterns, and increasing the capacity to be with and move through difficult sensations. In the embodiment of these new understandings we begin to experience not only relief, but ever deepened connection to ourselves and the world around us.
To make counseling accessible for all, my practice is entirely based on sliding-scale. I specialize in understandings of anxiety and depression, and have worked extensively with cancer patients with psychological difficulties, including in hospice settings. I also specialize in couples therapy.
