My name is Tom Butts and I am fully licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to practice psychotherapy on an individual, couples and group basis. I am also board certified by the American Board of Clinical Social Workers. Although ecclectic, my approach to psychotherapy is primarily based on Cognitive Behavioral principles. In addition to Cognitive Behavior Therapy, I incorporate mindfulness and existentialism into our sessions. The result is a treatment that allows for pragmatic, here and now interventions with larger, value driven supports.
My integrative approach to therapy is based on establishing a genuine, trusting relationship with you, enabling you to express your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment, allowing for greater insight and positive life changes. I actively collaborate with you and adjust my approach to your unique needs.
