About
I work with men and women around issues of health, anger, addiction, trauma, sexuality, mood, career and relationships. Typically, clients come to see me complaining about a lack of "joy" in their lives. They recognize repeating patterns of failed relationships at home, work or with others. While professionally successful many of my clients have difficulty feeling "healthy" in ways that are often difficult to fully articulate or understand. My clients are looking to understand why they feel and behave the way they do and how they can translate that understanding into feeling better and improved relationships within their lives.
I have come to integrate a number of empirically validated techniques such as Humanistic Psychology, Emotion Focused Therapy, CBT, DBT, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Interpersonal Neurobiology. The goal is to help my clients develop increased awareness of internal dynamics that lead to more intentional and adaptive responses to the world they live in.
By the time people contact me things may seem overwhelming, intractable or pointless. While things may be challenging, I am invested in not only understanding the problems together but helping the client develop solutions. Please feel free to contact me for a free consultation to determine if working together makes sense for you.
