Currently welcoming new clients to my downtown Redmond office opening 10/1/24. I invite you to consider what Mary Oliver's question means to you: “What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" It seems a core part of the human condition to struggle with why we are here and what we are doing. I do not offer tools or techniques that focus solely on symptoms, which inevitably return. Instead, I focus on you: your autonomy as a person, your sense of self, and your pursuit of meaning, which has lasting effect on your wellbeing.
Counselors don't choose an approach so much as one chooses us, and I am an existential therapist through and through. I work with anxiety, depression, stress, loss of the sense of who we are and what we want-the concerns that so color our existence and experience of life. One of my greatest joys is supporting you in discovering who you are again.
Why Thistle? In Scottish lore, thistles are closely associated with protection, perseverance, and strength. In 2013, I lost one of my favorite people to struggles with mental health.
