Hello. I am Theresa “Terri” Yu, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oklahoma, New Hampshire and Colorado. I am also a National Certified Counselor and a member of CSI Counseling Honor Society. I received my Bachelor’s in Applied Ministries: Foreign Missions Emphasis from Oklahoma Baptist University, my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and a doctoral candidate in Counseling Education and Supervision.
I have worked in several fields including as a social worker, foster/adoptive specialist for child protective services, Elem. School Special Education paraprofessional, pre-k teacher, and behavioral health rehabilitation/case manager. I am a mother to 4 girls, ages 30, 28, 24, 19 & have guardianship of 1 boy age 23 .
I also host and place foreign exchange student in the community and love to learn about their different cultures. I am also an avid pet lover with 4 dogs and three cats. Two of my dogs are currently therapy dogs.
