I am passionate about helping people in the process of self-discovery and personal growth. I am particularly skilled in counseling adults and have significant experience helping individuals suffering with trauma, depression, anxiety, codependency, and life transition issues. I also provide care to those experiencing grief and loss that cannot be openly acknowledged. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Kansas.
I am passionate about advocacy. I served extensively in the non-profit sector and worked as a Court Appointed Special Advocate and a wish granter for Make-A-Wish Foundation. I work from a developmental approach to counseling, meeting individuals where they are and helping them grow and flourish.
I believe that looking at your story and life experiences can help you begin to understand how your past is currently influencing the present way you live your life. This includes how you came to think, feel, and relate to others in the manner that you do. And this type of self-discovery offers freedom to change, grow, and flourish.
