My clients are college age students. 40-50% of students report having some sort of anxiety that affects their studies in school. Our services are matched to student issues such as ADD related problems, roommate issues, friendship or dating issues, and a variety of other issues that come up during this particular time. Typically, it’s the first time students have lived on their own and made decision by themselves and it can be stressful! Sometimes, students find themselves thinking about families issues such as parental divorce or other trauma they haven’t processed before.
My practice, is just for college students and works a lot like class. Yes, I know getting an appointment with a good therapist is hard. I get it. However, once you have a place with me. You have that place every week. You will be assigned a spot that fits your class schedule and you show up every week… like class. You do your assigned work snd participate.
Time after time research has validated the power of therapy in the relationship between the client and the therapist.
