Whats unique about The Visiting Counselor (TVC) is that I am mobile. I meet the clients in their homes where they are most comfortable and feel the most secure. I also deliver counseling and psychotherapy with compassion and understanding of the person as a whole. I am able to address a wide range of issues from the everyday stresses of life to more complex chronic issues of the mind or the body.
I have catered to the needs of the adult and senior/geriatric population. I am well versed in the unique needs of the aged, chronic illness and end of life concerns. I also have experience with chronic mental illness, Caregiver burnout, and Adjustment to the various stages of dementia and changes that come along with the aging process.
The core of TVC is empathy and compassion. With a foundation of Social Work I help clients walk through life's challenges at their pace. The skills of a Social Worker provides the additional ability to help with problem solving. I help clients identify and seek solutions to needs of daily living. We broker partnerships with community resources.
