Dr. Sutherland, Jr. is married to a remarkable woman. He is a father of three and a grandfather of one. He enjoys reading, going to the movies, playing tennis, and riding his motorcycle. His favorite sports teams are the Denver Broncos and the Syracuse Orange. He has conducted extensive research on the father-child relationship.
Dr. Sutherland, Jr., a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, INC, played & later coached football while attending West Georgia. The Sutherland Center has provided in-home counseling to 13 counties in the metro Atlanta area and TeleMental Health for GA residents.
