Let's face it, anything you ever wanted to know about coping skills, mindfulness, attachment styles, and many other therapy buzzwords is readily available on the internet and social media. Someone to guide you through how to actually apply these concepts to your life in a way that makes sense for you-not so much. And finding a therapist that does more than repeat back what you say in a calming tone and tell you how "resilient" you are is even harder.
So I do things a little differently. While I can't tell you what to do, I can definitely tell you what you might not be doing. Which is just different enough to actually be helpful. I also do so in a much more personable tone. No blank stare, emotionless, and robotic conversations here. We're going to talk the same way you might talk to a trusted friend.
