My name is Mastaneh (Masti) Lashkari and I am the founder of The Psychology Projects. Over the course of my professional journey, I flourished in the banking industry for a decade and later thrived in pharmaceutical sales for another ten years, mastering various sales and managerial positions. Despite my accomplishments in these fields, my fascination with psychology remained unwavering. The intricate dance between conscious and unconscious phenomena, coupled with the profound impact of emotions and thoughts, captivated my interest deeply. Motivated by this passion, I resolved to pivot my career path towards psychotherapy.
This decision led me to embark on a master's degree program in psychology. I devoted countless hours to intense study, sacrificing evenings and weekends to immerse myself in textbooks, compose papers, and prepare myself diligently for my future clients. Studying while working was tough, but I stayed determined.
In hindsight, I recognize the immense pressure I placed on myself during this journey & the toll it exacted on my mental well-being.
