Did you know therapy can create NEW neural pathways w/in your brain? Pathways to 'Being more Present' & Mindful. Therapy can provide us with an opportunity to understand our past, so that we may create different future possibilities. We may often find ourselves in situations that repeat old familiar feelings/wounds, unbeknownst to us. These 'symptoms' alert to us something within ourselves is seeking attention & understanding. When we can begin to experientially integrate the past, we are better able to meet the moment more fully embodied & create new neural pathways, as well as new future potentials in 'the now'. The hard truth,
however is there are times in a therapy of depth that can be difficult- nothing that is not survivable- but yes, difficult. For good reason overwhelming feelings experienced in isolation at a younger age may have needed the adaption of 'splitting' parts of ourselves off. In the type of therapy I provide, I view my role as both collaborator &guide in
facilitating a safe space for us to begin aiding you into a more fully integrated self. Symptoms have a story that once told and understood revive previously stored energy from the 'past' to be released in the 'now'. My intention is to provide a therapy rooted in curiosity, empathy, reflection& relationship amidst the space of nonjudgmental awareness.
