My training, both academic and visceral experiences, have created an eclectic therapeutic approach that values empowerment, self-direction, emotional safety, validation, dignity, and respect above all else. I believe when the client and therapist collaborate together, with genuine care and respect in an environment of consistent emotional safety, centering the client’s goals, great strides can be made in the healing/recovery process.
I am a Certified Trauma Professional. I have specialized training in the neurological impact from trauma/harm, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)/Advanced DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Empowerment Model, Strength Based Perspective, Recovery from Addictive Illnesses, Exposure/Impact of Violence, Healing from Sexual Trauma, and Forensic Screening.
My purpose is to treat my clients the same way in which I want to be treated.
