At the Mel Bornstein Clinic for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, we provide compassionate, thoughtful care grounded in over 60 years of clinical tradition. Our therapists work collaboratively with you to understand patterns that keep you stuck and foster meaningful, lasting change. We serve children, adolescents, adults, and families. We accept 27 insurance plans, including Medicaid, and offer sliding-scale fees and grants so cost never stands in the way of care.
Once affiliated with the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute, the Mel Bornstein Clinic is now a free-standing clinic accepting select insurances. Highly qualified and well-trained therapists offer help to children, adolescents, adults and families. Our therapists have been carefully chosen and determined to practice with intelligence and compassion.
The Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute provides on-going training, supervision and professional growth. Our Medical Director provides expert psychiatric assessment. If no insurance, we will work with you to set a manageable fee. We will also provide the necessary invoices to enable you to submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
