The LGBT+ Counseling Collaborative is a group of licensed psychotherapists who specialize in gay, queer, and gender expansive topics and themes, and have lived experiences in those communities. We work with anyone over 11 years old, including couples/relationships to offer individual counseling, group counseling, and relationship counseling, including non-faith based premarital counseling, discernment counseling, sex therapy, and more. Our mission is to provide culturally competent, social justice oriented, queer affirming, and trauma informed therapeutic services to clients who want to actively engage in the healing process.

We provide individual counseling, group counseling, art therapy, and relationship counseling for anyone who identifies as a LGBTQIA+ or is an ally of the community. Services also include sex therapy, non-faith based premarital counseling, trauma informed and competent counseling, gender exploration, religious trauma, complex PTSD, and relationship building.

We are currently accepting new clients in person at our Arlington, VA office or virtually in Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, or PSYPACT states. 12 Week Religious Trauma Group by SC Nealy, LPC

A 12 week group that focuses on psychoeducation and processing around religious and spiritual trauma, including breaking down shame/judgment, restructuring relational patterns, exploring identity outside of religious doctrines, purity culture, perfectionism, boundary setting, and increasing autonomy in individual choices toward or away from spirituality and/or religion. This group is open to anyone from any religious background and is intended to help clients reach their own personal goals for religion which may include staying in a religion, growing in a religion, or leaving a religion. All states are welcome. This group runs 3x annually, virtual only.

Trans Folx Support Groups (2 Separate Groups)

Twice a month, two of our clinicians run two different drop-in, no commitment support group for those who have medically or surgically or socially transitioned genders and for those questioning and considering transition. The Transmasc & Trans Mens Group runs Mondays at 12p virtually, and the Transfemme & Trans Womens Group runs Wednesdays at 7p virtually. The groups goal is to provide a safe place to ask questions, seek advice, and facilitate support. The group is $35 per person, and sliding scale/free options are available. This is a drop-in, no commitment group, so you're welcome to come once, come every time, or at the pace that works best for you!
