About

The Koch Center (located in Montclair, Waldwick, Morristown, & Englewood) specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Therapy and Programs for Adults, Adolescents, Middle Schoolers, and Families. Our Intensive DBT Programs offer an opportunity to receive extensive support and expert treatment in an outpatient setting. We treat the full range of psychological issues (including Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Impulse Control Disorders, Eating Disorders, Trauma, Relationship Problems, Personality Disorders). We have a Trauma Program for adults. We also offer individual therapy from varying theoretical orientations.
Our DBT team is Intensively Trained by Behavioral Tech. We offer adherent DBT treatment which includes DBT skills groups and individual and parent DBT therapy. We offer DBT programs for middle schoolers, adolescents, and adults. For more information, visit our website: www.Kochdbt.com

Social Skills Groups - several preschool thru HS

The Koch Center (Waldwick, Montclair, Englewood) offers social skills groups for children preschool through high school. Groups are time limited and are 8 sessions in length. Children are placed with peers who are of a similar age and developmental level. Individual feedback is available to parents to keep them updated on ways they can facilitate their child's improvement at home. Group facilitators are currently conducting assessments for new groups. DBT Groups in Montclair & Waldwick

The Koch Center offers Dialectical Therapy (DBT) Programs in Montclair and Waldwick for Adults and Adolescents. DBT teaches skills that help the individual identify and cope with distressing thoughts and feelings. Often, these feelings have been interfering with the individual's ability to function and enjoy life. Our DBT Skills Groups foster the capacity to experience a full emotional life without becoming overwhelmed or overwhelming others. Skills are practiced using exercises such as completing homework and diary cards and recording thoughts and behaviors. We have daytime and evening groups that run throughout the week. Outpatient Trauma Program

The Koch Center's Trauma Program is a one-night per week (Tuesdays 6-8:45pm) group-based outpatient program that incorporates mindfulness, body-focused therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and a Seeking Safety Trauma Protocol. The Trauma Program at The Koch Center is an innovative program that was developed based on current brain-based research by pioneers in the trauma field, most notably Bessel van der Kolk, MD. This research cites that the most effective trauma treatment integrates neuroscience and body-based therapies.
