The Howard Group is a Maryland based therapy practice with the mission to support the mental wellness of the African American community. As an African American male-led therapy practice, we understand the unique challenges faced by the teens and men in our community and are passionate about making a difference. Our therapeutic approach incorporates cognitive therapy and motivational interviewing strategies combined with 25+ years of experience. We provide a safe space for black males to find healing and restoration. If you need a safe environment where you feel valued and understood, we got you!
Our passion and commitment are empowering the lives of people who are experiencing academic underachievement, depression or low-self esteem, anxiety, family conflicts or difficulty with social relationships. Our individual and group therapy approaches allow our clients to explore options that will lead to personal growth and emotional well-being.
The Howard Group works with clients from all cultural backgrounds, walks of life and genders although our cultural competence is working with members of the African American community especially African American males.
