I want to share a goal with my clients to create a partnership where clients feel empowered for growth, healing, and positive change. Although I have a traditional office setting offered year round, for those who are interested in a new approach to problem solving, I offer an alternative approach to traditional counseling by linking clients with horses during their sessions. Equine Assisted Counseling or equine assisted therapy, incorporates horses into families, and individual counseling sessions to facilitate emotional growth and learning.
Clients receive feedback from the horse and use this information to increase awareness of how personal behaviors and emotions impact communications with others. Horses teach individuals how to live in harmony with others, to forgive easily and extend trust again without a grudge, to live in the present without worry of the future or the pain of regret.
If you have been on the fence about reaching out for help, please come reach over our fence and meet the therapy horses in a free face to face consultation at our facility. It is my goal that every client feels that they are exactly where they need to be and that they feel comfortable with the therapist and the therapeutic environment.
