Jane has extensive experience in working with children and families of all ages. She specializes in working with trauma, ADHD and sensory interventions. She uses art and play therapy as well as sand tray and experiential play to address the difficulties of learning and growing.
Families choose to work in a collaborative way with their therapist and learn to use techniques such as creative visualization, mindfulness, movement therapies to address difficult states of being. Jane has 30 years of experience in treating children and families. She worked at Webster University developed the art therapy program for 18 years.
Sensory integration is also an important aspect of treatment to help the client develop a stronger nervous system when it comes to stress. Every day stress can be challenging for most families with young children. Developmental treatment approach seems to help increase success in treatment.
