About
I believe that therapy is a journey towards self-discovery, reflection and increased awareness. Therapy can improve and help you thrive in your relationships with others as well as: live your authentic self, set healthy boundaries with others, and manage stress. Therapy can help you make tough decisions, manage uncertainty about relationships, identify stumbling blocks getting in the way of reaching your highest potential. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults. My areas of interest include: child and adolescent development, gender & sexuality identity, mother-daughter issues, trauma/PTSD, depression and anxiety problems.
As a generalist, I work with many concerns people bring to therapy. However, my specific areas of interest include: relationship issues, mother-daughter problems, trauma, multicultural/racial identity issues, LGBTQ+ issues, mood disorders, adjustment and personal growth (relationship break-up, divorce, work- life balance, career change, life transitions)
My style is very affirming and collaborative. I have a personable, down-to-earth style, and encourage humor and creativity in our work. My first priority is to ensure that you feel safe, understood, and accepted. I will provide regular and honest feedback about what I think could be helpful as you experiment with making changes in your life.
