I'm passionate about facilitating improved communication for couples who want to resolve a recurring conflict, break unhelpful patterns, and deepen their friendship and intimacy. I also help couples who are curious about polyamory/non-monogamy explore their fears and desires in a non-judgmental and supportive space. I am especially skilled at working with queer people, neurodivergent people (ADHD, Autism spectrum), nerdy intellectuals, and artists/creative types. I'm a trauma-informed therapist with a commitment to social justice. I'll honor your lived experiences, feelings and expertise as important assets in our work together.

"You are here on earth because there is something that only you can do!" Choosing Now as the time to act and being fully present in your body and in your relationships will take you to infinite possibilities. All of life's answers lie in how deep you are connected to yourself. Do not turn your attention elsewhere to look for the truth, for it is nowhere to be found but within your body.

My areas of counseling expertise include working with couples , as well as adolescent and adult counseling with a focus on depression, anxiety, anger management, and family relationship issues.
As a counselor I create a warm and supportive environment in which my clients can move from feeling stuck, isolated, and conflicted in some area of life to feeling more connected, motivated and successful. I specialize in working with children, teenagers and adults who are experiencing relationship issues, grief and loss, depression, anxiety and self-esteem issues. I believe in defining goals with my clients, exploring new ways of thinking about yourself and others and learning better coping strategies. My goal is to help my clients heal from past wounds and achieve their own definition of success.

It is not impossible! I work with individuals and couples who are ready to (re)build lives they authentically choose and desire.
You are aching to live a more authentic, fulfilling and empowered life, yet you are struggling to know how to proceed. I get it. I have been there. We build lives on foundations based in old programs, expectations, and beliefs and then when we feel the call for something more, we feel can feel stuck, frustrated, or angry. The life we built no longer suits us and we need help navigating change as we rebuild. Perhaps a relationship, a career, a midlife awakening (or pandemic) has triggered a longing for something more meaningful or fulfilling. Or maybe, something less- less drama, less stress, less anxiety, less soul sucking.

Simply put, my practice centers on helping individuals, couples , and families solve problems. My approach in therapy is to ally with motivations for change. I find that symptoms such as depression, anxiety, conflict in relationships, and other problems often relate to significant life transitions and events. Clients utilize therapy to further self-awarenes and my role is largely to assist in their process. This, at times, involves the acceptance of difficult and painful emotions about past experiences; however, the emphasis of any process is relief and freedom from patterns which have often become more painful than the emotions underlying them.

I love working with couples ,individuals and families.
My great joy is to facilitate healing in body, mind and spirit. I use a varied approach to suit your needs and circumstances. Difficult life events such as a relationship breakup, divorce, addictions and depression demand learning new coping skills. Releasing stress, creating safety within and with others are the first tasks in the therapeutic alliance. Understanding your world is my focus. We work to transform your life stressors into growth opportunities, a challenge I meet willingly. With trust, everything is achievable.

Hardly anybody I know aspires to be that average, center-of-the-bell-curve person. In different ways, we all deviate from the norm, which explains our own uniqueness. My aim as a therapist is to work with individuals, couples , triads, and families in a way that celebrates their uniqueness and "incurable deviance." By meeting you where you are, with who you are, in a way that makes best use of your unique strengths, hopes, dreams, and quirks, we can work together as client(s) and therapist to help you address your current challenges, get lots more of what you want, develop skills, transform, and explore new choices available to you.

There is more to life than just coping! I work with adults and couples who want to feel more vibrancy and optimism in their life, but are just feeling kind of stuck and frustrated. It may surface as a boring job, a flat relationship, not enough relationships, feelings of hopelessness, or a sense of not really choosing the life you have. Humans are not built to solve everything by themselves, and working with an experienced, compassionate, resourceful therapist can help you lighten your load and have choices that make you feel more alive.

Greetings everyone. Teletherapy offers the exceptional opportunity for a therapist or life coach and client to facilitate an environment that encourages understanding, clarity, and growth. In this environment the client and therapist identity areas for work, as well as create a path that leads to understanding and empowerment. What is teletherapy? Teletherapy involves the use of real-time interactive video conferencing between a therapist and client(s) to communicate and provide care remotely with the requirement of being in the same location.

You have this intense void inside of you and nothing can fulfil it. Your better half that was once a match made in heaven became your worst enemy. You feel like you are stuck in a Groundhog Day where somebody else has pressed repeat: shuffling kids from an activity to another, endless nights spent on job demands, exhausted has become your middle name. You have been trying so hard to cope: God knows how many self help books, meditation practices, yoga classes, self-medicating with alcohol, adult sites you have been trying! Yet nothing seems to work and you find yourself feeling stuck.

New clients welcome! You may feel restless, numb, stuck, like you've lost yourself. Perhaps you’re at your rock bottom, or close to it, and you feel like something has to give or at least break in your favor for once. You may have tried many different ways to get yourself out of this pit, but nothing seems to work. You don't need advice or "positive thinking." You need someone who will listen, walk with you, talk with you, at least try to understand and help you unravel this mess. Real, long-term healing takes work, and you need someone who can partner with you in achieving your goals by doing this work alongside you.

Teletherapy
Teletherapy and Online counseling have grown enormously as a medium for therapy since the advent of social distancing. Most therapists are happy to provide sessions by video or phone.

All professionals are licensed to provide video therapy to clients within the State in which they hold their license. Cross State licensing exists, but is rare.

So if you're a client in Texas, this list of teletherapists are licensed to provide therapy to you online (by phone, video or text based chat) because they are within your state. They are sorted nearest to furthest, with professionals in Texas listed first.

Teletherapy via phone or video can be very similar to conventional in person sessions. The message is the same, even if the medium is different. There are some advantages in the form of convenience, lack of travel and being in comfort of your own home. Set against those, professionals find it more difficult to read non-verbal signals of their clients, and you may find you yourself can be more easily distracted.
