By using energy psychology , my clients become more aware of negative sub-conscious feelings, emotions, thoughts, belief systems or patterns that are slowing them down or stopping them from obtaining their goals or being happier.
Hi, So as a Certified Life Coach one of my main goals is to help you move forward in your life, as opposed to a Counselor who may focus more on understanding your past traumas and the relationships from your past. So some of the main tools I utilize in my coaching are Empathic Listening and Energy Psychology . Energy Psychology is a blend of spiritual practices and psychology. One of the core belief's I work from is that our conscious and sub-conscious negative feelings, ideas, beliefs and emotions affect our ability to access our unique inner power, strength's, gifts and talents and move forward within our lives with enjoyment.

I have training in energy psychology (EP), including Comprehensive EP, TFT, EFT, Healing Touch, and Foundations of Eden Energy Medicine.
I believe we're shaped by biological (heredity, diet, hormones), psychosocial (peers, family, job stress), and psychological influences (thoughts, self-esteem, perfectionism). Addressing the mind-body interaction is critical. I guide and teach, helping clients learn new skills such as meditation and meridian tapping to handle life stresses. Clients who best fit my style wish to let go of negative patterns of self-doubt, guilt, worry, and feeling "never good enough." My therapy focus is here-and-now, focusing on mind-body habits, to develop new behaviors, recondition brain connections, to go beyond mere understanding or insight.

I have also successfully utilized energy psychology techniques, primarily Thought Field Therapy, to reduce/eliminate the impact of past negative events and to reduce levels of anxiety and depression.
I have specialized in the evaluation and treatment of patients with chemical / environmental sensitivity and/or who have been exposed to neurotoxic substances for more than 30 years. I conduct neuropsychological evaluations for litigation and/or disability issues (private or Social Security disability). I also evaluate patients with ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, MS and chronic pain. The goal of therapy is to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression associated with chronic physical illness and improve coping ability.

Struggling to show up in a world that tells you “you’re too much” and to "stop being so sensitive"? Having thoughts that no one will ever get you because you’re constantly told to “just get over it”? If you don't fit into the mold in a climate hostile towards difference, this creates debilitating stress and anxiety. The need to feel safe, seen, and heard IS REAL. You want to show up real AF, comfortable in your own skin and surrounded by people who support and value your unique gifts. But how do you stand up to all of this toxic energy?

Building a trusting, compassionate relationship with clients is my foremost priority in therapy. I help clients develop strengths, assertiveness, and resiliency to cope with life's challenges while focusing on reorienting beliefs, improving relationships and increasing attunement to thoughts + feelings. I believe that our brains are naturally adaptive and a clear understanding of how your mind works can empower healthy change. That’s why I use a combination of mindfulness, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), and Gottman Institute's research-based approach to therapy.

In addiction recovery, your biggest adversary is your own mind. Maybe you've asked yourself "why do I have such a strong intent for positive changes, but just as things start to improve I seem to change my mind?" It's the same experience for most of us in recovery; completely normal. Recovery support programs give you the tools you need to transform your life, but what's often missing are the skills needed to use those tools, and a healed nervous system that will allow it. A set of daily practices for both mind and body will change everything for you. Ask about HeartMath and the Safe and Sound Protocol for polyvagal toning!

How can I find a therapist in Texas?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

What type of therapist is right for me?

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
