Licensed in North Carolina and Virginia, and located in the Roanoke, Virginia, area, I provide Parental Capacity Evaluations, Parent Coaching, Parent Coordination and Consultation, civil and criminal assessments in court cases such as psychological/psychosexual evaluations, mental status, insanity, competency, and trauma therapy/assessment. I specialize in forensic and clinical assessments, domestic violence cases, child physical/sexual abuse, trauma, and law enforcement/corrections pre-employment assessments. My therapy focuses on trauma, dissociative disorders, and domestic violence.

I am a Clinical Psychologist in the Christiansburg area. I use a variety of therapies to help each individual with their specific needs. My approach to therapy is warm, empathic, and caring. Whether there is pain from which you are seeking relief, or ways you just feel stuck, my job is to empower and equip you to grow into more of the person you want to be – and to respect and care for the person you already have become! I offer individual therapy for adults and adolescents, with a primary focus and expertise on those that are currently struggling with anxiety, addiction, depression, grief, and trauma. Other areas of expertise include family conflict, difficult life transitions, career/vocational issues, and challenges unique to men during this season.

Therapy and case management is a collaborative process between the therapist and the client. As a counselor, I will be using an integrative approach incorporating many techniques from different theoretical approaches and using Narrative therapy, behavioral therapy, A.C.T, and person-centered therapy. Each client will be treated differently, ensuring that his or her goals are incorporated into the treatment process. Therapy will include some of the following: self-awareness techniques, relaxation techniques, behavioral modification, role-playing, journaling, psycho-education, and identifying and incorporating new coping skills.

I am a psychologist who helps adults identify and better understand symptoms or concerns and I teach skills for making adjustments in different areas of life. I work with issues such as depression, anxiety, parent coaching, stress management, emotional regulation skills, major life transitions, peripartum/post-partum anxiety and depression, grief, career counseling, and job burnout. I believe anyone can learn about themselves, gain additional coping strategies and skills, and experience growth through counseling. I conduct bariatric, career, personality, and diagnostic assessments. I have PSYPACT and Florida Telehealth licenses.

I am a Blacksburg native, recently relocated back to the area, and have opened my practice to offer assessment, therapy, and consultation services. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing difficulties with learning and attention problems, executive functioning issues, and mood and behavioral difficulties, including anxiety, depression, and anger-management. My treatment approach is typically based in cognitive-behavioral interventions, although I consider the personality of the client and the dynamics of the family in order to tailor an effective and goal-directed treatment approach.
