My practice is founded on treating clients with a comprehensive psychosocial approach. Most individuals realize medication can temporarily retard the progress of symptoms through symptom reduction. Alone, medication cannot resolve the personal issues associated with long term increases in quality of life. I believe my best professional strengths are an abiding respect for the individual coming into my office, and a reliable resource to explore, educate and inform persons about critical life issues.

I have worked with children and families for over twenty years and I never cease to be amazed at their resiliency. My primary clients are individuals between 2 - 21 years (Adults on a case-by-case basis). I work with children and their families to provide more information about current presenting social, emotional, and/or behavioral concerns through a thorough assessment (i.e., 5+ hours of direct assessment) and/or through counseling. In counseling, I alone cannot change the person once per week or every other week; parents are key to successful treatment by implementing appropriate strategies, support, and structure needed for improvement (i.e., there is work for the adults too!).
