The mission of Lifestyle Consultant Services is to improve the quality of mental health and substance abuse services by reducing stigma and by protecting the rights of the individual who suffers from mental illness and/or substance abuse. By identifying the pain and suffering experienced by citizens in our community and addressing them with care, we aim to strengthen and promote health and well being. Suboxone is the combination of buprenorphine (partial opioid agonist) and naloxone (opioid antagonist - Narcan). The combination is either 2 mg/0.5 mg or 8 mg/2 mg. Suboxone is a sublingual film (it dissolves under the tongue).

Parenting can be difficult. Children have their own personalities, ways of thinking, big feelings and struggle with healthy coping strategies. Children and adolescents often do not know how to communicate their thoughts and feelings and often act out in frustration. Youth are experiencing anxiety, self-doubt, low self confidence, social anxiety, stress, depression, and struggle with focusing. These can become negative self talk and can impact their families. Areas of special interest for me include working with youth and their families to help them flourish. I provide therapy and psychological evaluations.

I am a licensed psychological associate who provides counseling and psychological evaluation services to children and adolescents individually and within the context of the family. I have extensive experience in the areas of learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety, oppositional defiant behaviors, aggression, developmental disabilities, and giftedness. Furthermore, I have a special interest in the assessment and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Using a neurodevopmental framework, I specialize in comprehensive assessment across a breadth of areas, including autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disorders; executive functioning/attention deficit disorders; specific learning disabilities, such as reading/dyslexia; giftedness; early kindergarten readiness; social-emotional functioning. Utilizing a strengths-based perspective, I give great effort to provide evidence-based recommendations and strategies that are practical and targeted. Every assessment is custom-designed based upon specific referral questions and a personalized learning plan is developed.

Gaining a better understanding of individual challenges and specific strengths through a psychological evaluation is the first step in providing your child the support they will need to thrive. With 18 years of experience as a School Psychologist, as well as my clinical knowledge through private practice, I understand the broad range of functioning of children, can determine each child's individual needs and recommend effective supports to successfully meet those needs.

I take a client-centered approach to individualizing treatment and, as our world is ever-changing, this includes adapting with you when necessary. While CBT is often an effective approach to begin making changes, I find that pulling features of other modalities helps develop a well-rounded understanding of your worldview and provides varied tools to be resilient in the face of life’s challenges.
