Hello, my name is Dr. Heather Cornett, PhD, LP, and my focus is psychological testing, in particular for autism, ADHD, intellectual functioning, learning disorders, and personality disorders. At this time, I am conducting autism and ADHD testing virtually for adults. I also have limited availability for individual therapy, and enjoy working with severe-and-persistent mental illness, Borderline Personality Disorder, and complex cases.

With over twenty-five years of experience, I have focused my work on community mental health. I was the Intensive Children's Outpatient Director / IMPACT Supervisor at a community mental health center for seven years. I was also employed as the Treatment Director for a private therapeutic foster care agency. During this time, I taught general and developmental psychology for Bluegrass Community and Technical College System. I also contracted with First Steps to provide early intervention services to Kentucky's children. I have provided psychological services for the Children's Advocacy Center and Bluegrass Boys Ranch.

It is a great honor to be chosen to work with people and witness their return to their wholeness and ability to reach their full potential after suffering with stress, anxiety and depression, personality disorders and relationship breakdowns. I specialize in Mindfulness Based Coaching, Counseling and Therapy. Neurological and clinical studies have proven the positive impact of Mindfulness in dealing with mental health suffering through reduced rumination, stress reduction, more cognitive flexibility, less emotional reactivity, increased focus and concentration.
