I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of experience working in enhanced levels of mental health care. I am passionate about helping young children who have been through trauma or major life changes by utilizing play therapy, as well as adults who have identified issues that impact their everyday lives, relationships, and ability to parent in a healthy way. I specialize in trauma-related issues, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, and anxiety disorders. I completed my Master of Arts in Community Counseling at the University of North Carolina - Charlotte.
I also completed a graduate certificate in play therapy, a specialized therapeutic approach often used for children aged 2.5 to 10 years old who may not be able to verbalize and process their issues through traditional talk therapy due to developmental understanding.
Additionally, I have completed multiple trauma-related trainings to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), allowing me to provide trauma-informed care to all of my clients. I utilize various treatment approaches with adults to fit their needs, including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and more!
