I believe in the resilience and tenacity of the human spirit, even in situations that seem overwhelming. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, strength-based, and tailored to meet your unique needs and goals. I specialize in women's mental health and reproductive mental health (depression and anxiety during pregnancy and the postpartum period, traumatic birth, perinatal loss and infertility). In addition, I have a special interest and experience in helping adults with anxiety (Generalized Anxiety, OCD, Panic, Social Anxiety, Specific Phobias), depression, past trauma, loss and grief, and insomnia.
My work in reproductive mental health inspired me to develop an expertise in working with anxiety. I use a collaborative and cognitive behavioral approach, and integrate mindfulness-based practices. I emphasize exposure and response prevention (ERP) when working with OCD.
I am a Clinical Instructor at the UCLA Women's Life Center. I serve as a West Los Angeles/Santa Monica Support Coordinator for Postpartum Support International. I am a graduate of the Behavior Therapy Training Institute through the International OCD Foundation. I have specialized training in grief counseling, reflective parenting, and trauma resiliency.
