I specialize in helping people navigate major life changes and transitions, such as marriage or divorce, caregiving for a sick/aging relative, child birth/postpartum, empty nesting and retirement, aging and mid-life uncertainty, losing a loved one, graduation or job/career change. These types of changes can feel intensely destabilizing and stressful, even if the change is something you want. Many clients come in saying they feel stuck in their decision-making, or they feel overly emotional, or they just feel shut-down.
Together we will explore what you are going through. Sometimes people feel overwhelmed by new situations because of unresolved issues around prior experiences or relationships. Although having unresolved issues isn’t unusual, it can significantly impact how we think about and respond to new situations. This is where therapy can help.
