My support is strengths based and empathetic to the challenges that make it difficult for you to create the life that you want. Struggling in your relationships? Trying to deal with difficult events in your life? I don't preach, stand on "soap boxes" or point fingers...my job is to momentarily hold what you "can't" so you can "work it out"! I simply help you connect the loose connections. That is how emotional growth happens and how we help Create the Conditions for Change.
I also specialize in working with involuntary clients referred by the legal system, probation and parole. I provide Forensic Psychotherapy intervention in both the individual and group format. Whether referred for Anger Management issues or aftercare for Sex Offender violations, services are available for your support.
I am licensed in both Carolinas, hold an international certification in Applied Control Theory, and am certified nationally as a Clinically Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist (National Association of Forensic Counselors and the American Academy of Certified Forensic Counselors). I also guide mental health agencies providing clinical services.

Behaving Responsibly and Healthy Emotional Express
B.R.H.E.E. is a 15 hour, intensive course designed to engage participants in creating the conditions for change in their personal interactions with others. As Anger Management is the starting point for intervention, B.R.H.E.E. also helps participants begin controlling their anger, and helps them identify what true emotions are motivating their behaviors. Each session will address the development of healthy social skills and decision making processes, will address power and control issues, self esteem and effective communication skills, and most importantly, connecting thoughts and feelings to appropriate and socially accepted behaviors.

Everyday Adjustment Group
The Everday Adjustment Group is a co-ed support group for those who want to engage in the therapeutic process, but find more comfort in working in the group format. The group focuses on learning how to work through life's challenges in healthy, more developmentally (and socially) accepted ways. All issues and emotions are welcomed, as learning to truly honor and respect our emotionality is the basis for this support group.
