While it is common to feel "unraveled" when daily stressors or various traumas occur, everyone has the ability to find meaningful solutions. I believe that everyone is unique, so the solution will be different for each person. My desire is to assist clients (ages 10-90), including adolescents, adults and couples, find a balance between a healthy need for relationship and possible psychological, social or spiritual factors within a framework of personal responsibility. After teaching English and Art for 23 years, I experienced the power of expressive arts to unlock inner voices that help students/clients achieve hope and confidence.
The past few years have provided experiences of working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, anger, Bipolar Disorder and various traumas (PTSD, emotional, sexual, parental alienation). Therapies successfully used have been DBT, CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, EFT, Gottman Couples Therapy, Expressive Arts, as well as an introduction to Yoga.
Meeting you where you are, I propose to collaboratively formulate a plan of hope and resilience for you. Therapy used will depend on your current strengths and needs. It would be a privilege to work with you to help you safely unravel issues that may be keeping you from realizing your own uniqueness and strengths.
