My name is Terry Fowler and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in eating disorders, addiction medicine, anxiety, stress, and depression. The approaches I use are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Client Centered Therapy to help clients gain the skills to help themselves. My approach to goal setting is driven by you client and what you want and need. In order to establish clear goals, I will work with you to establish your needs and build on your existing strengths. You are the expert in you! I want to help you find that within.
My approach to therapy is based on the needs of the individuals I work with. Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Self Compassion are just two of the modalities I use along with empowering the client to see they have the abilities to make changes in their lives. I have found that my style and approach works well with adolescents as well as young and aging adults.
I want to provide a safe place for my clients to talk about anything. I want to know you and not the part that is just struggling. What you like to do or what your goals in life are. I will use small talk to get to know you the you behind the struggles you may be facing right now. They say laughter is the best medicine and I believe that.
