I specialize in working with individuals from the ages of 20 - 40. Decisions made in your 20’s and early 30’s can often set the tone for the remainder of your adulthood. People often enter their 20’s feeling confident, and optimistic. However, as life’s challenges begin, the vision and path becomes less clear. Confusion around partners, friendships, family, career, and lifestyle start to take hold. Sometimes past traumas emerge. Unaddressed feelings can develop into depression, and anxiety. Increasing your self-awareness, learning healthy ways to manage feelings, along with behavioral changes can increase your happiness.
Building a trusting, and comfortable rapport is one of my strengths. I try to create an environment where you feel safe sharing your feelings while exploring your values and goals without judgment. I use a psychodynamic approach and an interpersonal approach to therapy, along with eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
At some point in everyone’s life, problems occur. These issues can often seem bigger than we can handle. Over the years it has been a privilege for me to work as a counselor. Being able to listen, support and empathetically confront, a person who is going through a challenging time is an honor I take very seriously.
