When clients enter into the therapeutic process willing to work, therapy can be nothing short of life changing. Therapy can provide clients with the tools to change their perspective, improve their thought and communication patterns, and increase their level of interpersonal intimacy. Most importantly, therapy gives clients the opportunity to be seen and heard in a safe, accepting environment.
As a therapist, I take an active role in listening, empowering, and supporting my client’s subjective experience. I place great importance on authenticity, and infuse humor into my therapeutic style. I view the client-therapist relationship as collaborative. Together, my clients and I investigate ideas that may be leaving them stuck in dysfunctional patterns.
I work with individuals, (including children, adolescents, and adults), couples, and families on issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationships. I have special interests in working with artists and the LGBTQ community, as well as couples and individuals who are in the process of creating families.
