Preparing the Field for Play Therapy
Preparing the Field for Play: Working Analytically with Children, Adolescents and their Parents is a consultation group to discuss in depth how to organize the initial phase of treatment. Together we will explore the ways of conceptualizing the nature of a child, adolescent or family's problems. Discussion will focus on the critical aspects of working with this population and ways of establishing the frame. We will also address various transference configurations that evoke primitive states in each member in the field which, in turn, can prohibit progressive development.
New Skills and Choices
New Skills and Choices program is for parents in high conflict over the custody and visitation of their children Classes focus on co-parenting as a separated family, increased communication and reduction of conflict, improved responsiveness to their children's questions/concerns, and awareness of the effects of their conflict on children. Co-Parenting Counseling services are available to families who have custody/visitation court orders in place. The goals of the sessions are to help parents manage visitation and parenting conflicts and to maintain court ordered schedules. The focus is a safe and secure environment for their children.
