I have been working as a therapist with children, teens, adults, and couples since I received a Masters of Clinical Social Work from University of Saint Thomas/Saint Catherine University in 2017. I enjoy working with individuals ages 12 through adult. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship with my clients, as well as their life experiences, to meet clients where they are at and encourage growth and movement through their journey.
Since graduating, I have focused on trauma-informed care. Following graduation, I worked with students in a Level 4 educational setting. Students were dual diagnosed with EBD and another diagnosis. I have also worked as a hospital social worker and most recently as a middle school social worker. Throughout this all, I’ve continued to provide therapy.
I am passionate about my work. I strongly believe in assisting my clients to identify their mental health concerns and acquiring coping skills to manage life. It is important that my clients know that they live with their diagnosis, they are not their diagnosis. I prefer to work alongside my clients, meeting them where they are at, assuring they feel safe.
