My name is Dr. Teresa Jacobs and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D) based in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a telehealth therapist in private practice, I am available to work with clients throughout the state of California. I primarily work with adult individuals and specialize in complex trauma, health psychology, women’s issues, and individuals experiencing life transitions.
My approach to therapy consists of creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore the reasons that bring you to therapy. My preferred theoretical approach is psychodynamic/psychoanalytic, which is an insight-oriented method that allows individuals to make desired changes through increased self-awareness and understanding.
I have always been naturally curious as to what drives people and how experiences shape our behavior and perspective. I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and strive to make a positive impact in the world. It is meaningful to me to help others achieve their goals and overcome life challenges.
