My name is Teresa Doheny. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I offer Virtual therapy sessions for Individuals and Couples in Colorado. My focus is anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and life improvements. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Emotion/Solution Focused Therapy. I work with clients who have never had therapy, have tried multiple therapists, or want to try therapy again. My sessions are based on where the client is at during this time in their life. I offer a client-based approach to therapy.
I strive to create a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard, understood, and supported every step of the way. I will bring a wealth of experience and expertise, offering a safe and nurturing space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
The first session begins with the client's reasons for coming to therapy and how I can help through researched based. The client gets to decide if they want to continue with therapy for another session without any pressure. Clients drive their own goal setting. We will break down this goal into smaller goals.
