About
I work with individuals to help them increase self-awareness and lead happier lives. My unique background makes me different than most therapists. In addition to being a licensed therapist, I have a PhD in Philosophy. As a therapist and life coach, I help individuals struggling with relationships, codependency, sexual compulsivity, and substance/alcohol abuse. I also work with adult children of alcoholics, those who grew up in families where emotional chaos and parent addiction may be affecting their adult relationships. In addition, I work with gay individuals and couples.
I have many years of experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse and sex and "romance" addiction. If you find yourself struggling in relationships, I have been told that my style of counseling motivates clients to live more fully. Men between the ages of 20 and 30 tell me my approach helps them gain more clarity and confidence.
I have a passion for working with those who are serious about understanding and overcoming particular issues they find themselves being confronted with. My work and education in addiction and mental health combined with my background in teaching philosophy has helped me develop a unique way of counseling individuals, confirmed by repeated positive feedback.
